- police officers of statutory powers of stop and search
- police officers and police staff of requirements to record public encounters
This version of PACE Code A was amended with effect from 1 January 2009 to reduce the recording requirements for stop and encounter. From 1 January 2009 police are required to record only the ethnicity of a person who is subject to stop and account as set out in paragraphs 4.11 – 4.20 of PACE Code A.
