Home Office Strategic Plan - The Home Office Strategic Plan - Confident Communities in a Secure Britain
The Home Office and the services it oversees are united by a common vision of achieving social change. This is captured in our strategic objectives. To achieve these objectives we need to not only make our enforcement services - the police, prisons, immigration and probation - more effective, but also to promote active citizenship and cohesive communities. It is through such a combination that we tackle insecurity and the causes of insecurity.
This plan outlines how we intend to take forward our work in a way that anticipates the aspirations, expectations and problems of the people of Britain in 2008.
