Nominate someone for a Justice Award

28 May 2009

Do you know someone working in the criminal justice system who has gone the extra mile in their work?

The Justice Awards give staff and volunteers the opportunity to nominate their colleagues and teams, helping them get the recognition they deserve.

Anyone working or volunteering in the criminal justice system can nominate or be nominated. You can nominate a team, or an individual. Last year’s winners were drawn from the police, Crown Prosecution Service, HM Prison Service, Victim Support, probation, and community groups.

Each of the ten award categories is supported by a sponsor, including the Association of Police Authorities and, for the first time this year, Crimestoppers.

‘Unsung heroes’

Speaking about the awards, the Home Secretary said, ‘Staff at the frontline are often the unsung heroes of the criminal justice system. Through the Justice Awards we have the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding work that is bringing justice to the heart of our communities.'
