I cannot log in to the forum – what do I do?
In the first instance check you entered your user details correctly and that caps lock was not mistakenly activated when entering your password. If the problem persists, contact the forum moderator.

Where are the old posts?
Unfortunately, it was technically not possible to bring over the posts from the old forum to the new one. This is why we have archived the old forum, which is available to users for reference only. You can log into it with your old user details and re-read old threads but you cannot post replies or open new threads. This can only be done in the new forum.

Why can’t I post in the old forum?
The old forum is available for reference purposes only. You can only post replies or new topics on the new forum. If you want to reply to a post on the old forum, you should pick it up in the new forum.

I have a problem other than what has been covered here – where can I get advice?

Why was there need for a new forum in the first place?
Earlier this year the entire Home Office website was redesigned to make it more user-friendly and accessible. Unfortunately the software, upon which this new site was built, was not compatible with the software that supported the old user forum. Severe technical glitches meant the old forum had to be taken offline immediately, leaving pensions administrators without any forum until a new one was developed, which has now been done.
